Community Outreach (Multi-Lingual) :

The Multi-Lingual Community Outreach Co-ordinators provide outreach to immigrant and racialized women in their communities. Their goal is to empower women through friendship, support, and services. They also provide the following programs to women:
  • Support Group: The objective of this group is to reflect on personal life experiences as immigrant women. Through sharing and caring, women can learn to heal.

  • Drop-in Centre: This provides on opportunity to meet people, share concerns, ideas, and information. Weekly discussions of interesting topics that relate to immigrant women occur.

  • Library Resources: We have a collection of books and articles on women and development issues, information on community services and resources in different languages. We encourage people to access material for educational purposes or for their own reading pleasure.

  • Newsletter: This includes articles and information written by immigrant women. The newsletter is published quarterly, and distributed to members and friends.

  • Social, Educational and Fundraising Events: We organize social and educational events for our membership and the general public throughout the year. We also organize events to raise funds to support our programs and services.

Saskatchewan Employment For Immigrants Program ( SEI ):

The SEI program is a special program providing Literacy/ESL with the objective of improving speaking, listening and writing skills, and GED/TOEFL preparation as well as basic computer training. It also provides work and life skills training which includes resume writing, job search techniques, interviewing and networking skills directed toward securing suitable employment. The participants will receive on-the-job experience at the last part of the program. This project is designed for immigrant women and men who want to enter or re-enter the work force.

English Classes:

This program provides an opportunity for cultural exchange and confidence in the use of English for everyday life. English as a second language is offered on a weekly basis and it is free of charge. Both men and women are welcome.
